1and1.com Losing Customers, Gaining Anti-Company Evangelists

By the looks of doing a google search on 1and1 sucks, there are even more people getting screwed by the internet hosting company 1and1.com.

Use them at your own peril.  After over 7 years of hosting over 60+ domains, I started getting traffic to one of my sites, so they turned it off without notice.  Then when I bitched, they froze my account and all my domains for three weeks before cancelling it.

I lost thousands of dollars in advertising because of 1and1.com and their shady business practices - not to mention over 40 domains and years of work I was never able to recover.

1and1 Sucks!  They will screw YOU too!

1and1.com Continues to Refuse Me To Transfer My Domains

1and1.com is the worst web host company in the world.  Not only are they unreliable, but they have also proven that they will screw over even their best customers.  I don't expect them to be in business at this time next year.

The most current issue that I'm having with them is that they continue to make it difficult (seemingly impossible) to take back control of domains that I have bought and paid for.  Most recently they have refused to transfer my charity domain, www.TheHairFarmer.com to my new registrar and host.

Update: 1and1.com Still Refusing to Update My Contact Info and Release Domains

I just have to say that 1and1.com sucks!  They continue to try to fuck with me by not allowing me access to domains (and email addresses) that I have owned for many years.  Despite the fact that I've sent them all requested information (including a copy of my drivers license) over 3 times, they have refused to update my domain registration information, give me a list of all the domains I own or transfer these domains to another registrar.  (I am using GoDaddy.com as registrar and host for now).

This should not be happening, but because 1and1.com thinks it is ok to screw even their best long term customers, I continue to pay the price of lost advertising revenues each and every day.

Don't you even consider using 1and1 as a web host or even domain registrar, because if they'd screw their best customers, they'd be happy to screw you too.

1and1.com Still Refusing to Release My Domains!

1and1.com has continued to mess with me.  After canceling my account with over 65 domains and many websites and email addresses for no reason, they have continued to refuse to release my domains to a new registrar - or change the contact info on the domains.  #Boycott1and1

1and1.com Refuses to Allow Me Control of My Domains

1and1.com has refused to give me control of my domains - canceled my hosting account (even though prepaid), removed all my email addresses and has refused to transfer most of my 65+ domains I have registered there.  They won't even give me a list of the domains I have paid them to registers.

1and1.com definitely is about the worst possible choice you could make for a web host or domain registrar.  1and1.com will make you pay too.  They've cost me thousands of dollars, over a hundred hours of work attempting (with limited success) to move my websites and domains, and years off my life because of the undue stress they have caused me. 

I hope you don't make the same mistake I did. I was paying 1and1 so much money each month for over 6 years, I thought they would actually take care of me - instead they continue to try to screw me.

1and1.com Continues to Attempt to Make My Life Difficult

The ongoing battle with my soon to be former webhost and terrible domain registrar - 1and1.com continues.  At this point I simply want to transfer all my domains away from them. 

They refuse to give me a list of my domains.
They have asked for my login info and payment information at least four times by email in the past 24 hours.
Now they are requiring I send them a copy of my drivers license.

and continue to cause more pain and time suck.

BEWARE of 1and1.com - if you use them, they will make you pay - in money, time and pain.

1and1 Sucks!  Find a better domain registrar and web host - it won't be difficult ...

Need a Webhost? Do NOT Even Consider 1and1 - They Are Bad People

If you are looking for a web host, I sincerely hope you don't have the misfortune of running into 1and1.com.  If you do - get away quick.  They are very bad people, who are malicious to even their best customers!

My suggestion for now for an inexpensive webhost is GoDaddy.com - although their customer service isn't exactly easy to get in touch with ...

1and1 is the Worst Hosting Company EVER - Don't Use 1and1

Not satisfied with taking my money for over 5 years, 1and1.com took down all of my 50 + websites a couple of weeks ago - and for no reason (they're paid for).  I guess that wasn't enough, as now they are not even allowing me to point them or transfer them to another host and registrar.

This has literally had a huge negative effect on my health, let alone all the advertising revenue and other business that I have lost as a result.  They have basically ruined a long time customer - and don't give a crap.

If you are thinking about hosting with 1and1 - please rethink it.  If you do host with them now, make arrangements to have your sites moved - or they will screw you too.  I never thought it would happen to such a loyal, long time and paying customer, but it sure did ....  1and1.com sucks the big one and has screwed me for the last time - don't let them screw you too!

1and1 Now Trying to Delay My Domain Transfers

Two days ago after the dumb asses at 1and1.com canceled my hosting services on the highly trafficked site at EastsideBusinessJournal.com and my other 65+ domains, I started the process of trying to transfer all my domains to GoDaddy.com.

Wouldn't you know it, but 1and1 is trying to screw me with this too ... They will not send me the authorization necessary to transfer my domains. 1and.com sucks ass. They're screwing me and they will screw you too.
